After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Loyola-Sacred Heart, the Lincoln County Lions were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They blew past Troy 69-23 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Lincoln County has managed all season.
Lincoln County was led to victory by Caden Vaughn and Braden Casazza. Vaughn scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Casazza dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Butts, who scored seven points along with nine assists.
Lincoln County's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Troy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Lincoln County will look to defend their home court on Friday against Plains at 6:00 p.m. Troy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lincoln County at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th.
