There's no place like home for St. Lucy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against the Pomona Catholic Pacers by a score of 3-1 on Monday. For the Regents, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Pacers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

While St. Lucy's might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Pomona Catholic scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 16-25, 25-23, 25-21.

St. Lucy's offense was headlined by Emmerson Ramirez and Danika Mejico, who picked up 12 kills apiece. Mejico really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 12. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Bella Vasquez, racking up four apiece.

St. Lucy's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-8. As for Pomona Catholic, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

St. Lucy's has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Rancho Cucamonga on the 16th. As for Pomona Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary on the 16th.
