Basketball Recap: Louisville Skates Past Boys Town with Ease

Louisville posted their biggest victory since December 5, 2024 on Monday. They breezed past the Boys Town Cowboys to the tune of 48-13. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2021.

Leading Louisville to victory were Taylor Staben and Allie Hiatt. Staben dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds, while Hiatt posted eight points and five steals. Louisville is undefeated when Hiatt posts five or more steals, but 3-16 otherwise. Carly Haun was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

Louisville was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Boys Town still got an impressive performance from Starr Mills, who earned ten points. Aiyana Krebs also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steals of the season.

Louisville's record now sits at 7-16. As for Boys Town, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Louisville has already played their next contest, a 64-29 defeat against Raymond Central on the 19th. Boys Town does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
