The Melba Mustangs's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They really took it to North Star for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-35 victory on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Melba has managed all season.
Despite the loss, North Star still got an impressive performance from Milt Pettit, who scored four points along with ten rebounds. Nico Garcia was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Melba has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for North Star, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Melba will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against The Ambrose School at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. As for North Star, they will be playing at home against Marsing at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Marsing is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
