Highline has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Wednesday. They will face off against the Renton Red Hawks at 7:15 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
On Monday, Highline was beaten by Interlake 65-25. Highline has not had much luck with Interlake recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Renton's 19-5 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a serious blow against North Creek on Monday, falling 69-31. Renton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-14.
Highline bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.7 points per game. As for Renton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Highline was dealt a bruising 67-17 defeat at the hands of Renton in their previous meeting back in January. Can Highline avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
