In what's become a running theme this season, the Altamont Indians gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. Everything went their way against North Clay/Clay City as Altamont made off with a 60-39 win. Winning may never get old, but Altamont sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
It was another big night for Kaidyn Miller, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Aden McManaway, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Altamont has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for North Clay/Clay City, they have fallen quite a ways from their 21-10 record last season and are now at 5-10.
Altamont will head out on the road to face off against Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 607th, while Altamont is ranked 172nd). North Clay/Clay City won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Woodlawn at 6:15 p.m. on January 13th.
