After a string of seven wins, the DSST: College View Wolves's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were the victim of a rough 63-39 loss at the hands of Valley. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points DSST: College View has scored all season.
Several Wolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Craig Johnson, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and five steals. Fabian Sosa was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Owen Peterson, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Peterson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Dudley, who almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 11 rebounds, and nine blocks.
DSST: College View's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4. As for Valley, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13.
DSST: College View will take on DSST: Cedar at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. DSST: Cedar is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Sterling's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Valley has been banged up by 12 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
