Despite the loss, Palo Verde Valley still got an impressive performance from Kenneth Salazar, who rushed for 100 yards and a pair of TDs on only six carries. Salazar's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards. Palo Verde Valley also got a significant boost from Christian Richards, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 93 yards.
Jayden Armstrong had an outrageously good game for St. Bernard as he rushed for 133 yards and one score on only 13 carries, and also picked up 60 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palo Verde Valley will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Shadow Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Bernard, they will host Littlerock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
