The St. John Bosco Academy Patriots suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 58-34 walloping at the hands of Highland. St. John Bosco Academy's loss continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Highland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ty Goeckner led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 26 rebounds. Goeckner is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Crow, who scored 18 points along with six assists and two steals.
St. John Bosco Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Highland, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.
St. John Bosco Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against Kendrick at 6:00 p.m. Kendrick will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Highland, they will head out on the road to take on Nezperce at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
