Two dominant guards in Tyree Sheffield and Khing Williams are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Inspired Vision EAGLES will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gateway Charter Academy Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Texas (Inspired Vision is ranked 1412th, while Gateway Charter Academy is ranked 1417th).
Inspired Vision had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 49-41 win over A Plus Academy on Tuesday. The victory was just what Inspired Vision needed coming off of a 78-15 defeat in their prior matchup.
It was another big night for Sheffield, who scored 23 points. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Inspired Vision's points. Obed Faz was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, Gateway Charter Academy pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to Village Tech.
Inspired Vision's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-18. As for Gateway Charter Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-11.
Inspired Vision skirted past Gateway Charter Academy 56-54 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Inspired Vision have another victory up their sleeve, or will Gateway Charter Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
