HEART HomeSchool is 7-0 against Cornerstone Academy since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. HEART HomeSchool will head out on the road to take on the Cornerstone Academy Cougars at 6:30 p.m. HEART HomeSchool has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
HEART HomeSchool posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They blew past Liberty Christian Prep 73-24 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-13.
Meanwhile, Cornerstone Academy was the victim of a rough 60-36 loss at the hands of Ocala Christian on Thursday. Cornerstone Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-21.
Despite their defeat, Cornerstone Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Raphael Valerio, who scored 12 points, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Valerio has scored all season. Josiah Espy was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
HEART HomeSchool is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Cornerstone Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
Everything came up roses for HEART HomeSchool against Cornerstone Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 65-38 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for HEART HomeSchool since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
