HEART HomeSchool posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They blew past Liberty Christian Prep 73-24 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-13.
Meanwhile, Cornerstone Academy was the victim of a rough 60-36 loss at the hands of Ocala Christian on Thursday. Cornerstone Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-21.
Despite their defeat, Cornerstone Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Raphael Valerio, who scored 12 points, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Valerio has scored all season. Josiah Espy was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
HEART HomeSchool is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Cornerstone Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
Everything came up roses for HEART HomeSchool against Cornerstone Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 65-38 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for HEART HomeSchool since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
