The Elwood Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Lapel Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Elwood will be strutting in after a win while Lapel will be coming in after a loss.

Elwood got a massive performance out of Kelsey Armes, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Armes a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Taylor Hawks, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
Elwood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 6-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Lapel's offense. They fell just short of Shenandoah by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. That makes it the first time this season the Bulldogs have let down their home crowd.
Addison Bodenhorn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.
