5A Region II District 16 recap September 10, 2013
Stony Point scaled the state rankings by moving to 135 from 205 this week, the biggest jump in 5A Region II District 16. The Tigers climbed the ranks as a result of beating Belton 56-46.
Hendrickson was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Leander. The Hawks came in at 11 in the state poll after placing at number 38 last week.
Round Rock Westwood's dynamic duo of Bear Fenimore and Josh Bishop proved to be unstoppable against Bowie, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Fenimore threw for 516 yards and 3 touchdowns and Bishop had 167 yards receiving. Travis Dale helped Round Rock Westwood's passing attack out by catching 8 balls for 111 yards.
The Warriors' dynamic duo of Fenimore and Bishop proved tough for the Bulldogs to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Aidan Barrera was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 122 yards on 12 carries as Stony Point fell to Bowie. James Gray also contributed to the rushing game with 42 yards on the ground.
Bishop was the best wideout in the league this week as Anthony Wood's team fell to Jeff Ables' team.
Fenimore put up the best numbers through the air as the Warriors fell to the Bulldogs.
6-foot-2 quarterback Fenimore of Round Rock Westwood is the league leader in passing yards this season with 791. He has also thrown 6 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Justin Gamble. The Stony Point star has 21 catches for 346 yards.
Round Rock and Harker Heights played the closest game in 5A Region II District 16 this week, with Round Rock eventually emerging with a 40-37 victory.
