Salem Sayers Baptist Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 61-51 to Lifegate Christian. Salem Sayers Baptist Academy was down 53-31 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Joseph Green was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with two steals for Lifegate Christian. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Green has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Roby Holdman, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Salem Sayers Baptist Academy dropped their record down to 4-11 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Lifegate Christian, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salem Sayers Baptist Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Lions at 6:30 p.m. on February 12th. As for Lifegate Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against the Thunder at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
