Softball Recap: Morrison Extends Winning Streak to Five

Morrison barely beat Milledgeville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs never let the Missiles get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Mustangs have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Morrison saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bella Duncan, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

The win (which was Morrison's fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Milledgeville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6.

Looking ahead, Milledgeville will square off against Fulton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Morrison will be paying especially close attention to the Missiles' contest: after the Missiles face off against the Steamers, they'll take on Morrison again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
