Chaminade is 1-9 against Vianney since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Flyers will be playing at home against the Golden Griffins at 4:30 p.m. Chaminade is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3 runs per game this season.
Chaminade's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against St. Louis Homeschool as they made off with a 10-0 victory. While the Flyers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-23), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Jackson Miller made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI and one double.
In other pitching news, Connor Moore looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Anthony Wohlstadter was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Hiatt, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Chaminade always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Louis Homeschool only posted an OBP of .227.
Vianney let Parkway Central stack five runs on them in the sixth inning on Wednesday but luckily Vianney prevailed anyway. The Golden Griffins sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over the Colts. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Griffins.
Chaminade's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Vianney, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
Chaminade might still be hurting after the 13-0 defeat they got from Vianney in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Flyers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
