The Bullpups, defending 4A state champions, have two returning players who were named first-team all-state last season according to the Seattle Times.
Otiona Gildon, a 6-foot senior, is back after she was a major force in the state title game and after earning all-state honors. Also returning is senior guard
Laura Stockton, daughter of NBA legend John Stockton.

A team that has won its last 53 games against in-state competition and with three titles in the last five years is ranked second? Losing two first-team all-state guards and your coach will do that. Stephenie Wheeler-Smith has moved on after winning State Coach of the Year honors, and Hollingsworth steps in. Five sophomores and two freshmen were on the roster last season, so there will be talent ready to produce this season.

3. Lynnwood (Bothell)2013-14 finish: 25-2
Head coach: Everett Edwards
Junior guard
Mikayla Pivec is back after averaging 15.1 points per game (the team leader) and that is a great thing for the Royals.
Jordyn Edwards was third in scoring at 9.4 and is also a junior, so teams have two more seasons of dealing with that duo.
Kelsey Rogers is just a sophomore and will be the girl in the middle, and
Monty Cooper is a senior who made all-around contributions last season.

The Wolverines return two double-digit scorers this season in junior
Shelby Cansler (16.9 ppg) and senior
Mandy Steward (14.1 ppg). While they may be losing four seniors, the Wolverines appear to have their nucleus returning and should be a force.
