Marist is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Mercy. The RedHawks fell just short of the Marlins by a score of 2-1. The RedHawks' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Marist sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 15-25, 25-23.

Marist's loss dropped their record down to 19-4. As for Mercy, they pushed their record up to 23-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Marist has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Assumption on the 4th. As for Mercy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against the Rockets on the 4th.
