After 11 games on the road, Roberts is heading back home. The Roberts Rockets and the Reed Point/Rapelje Renegades will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Roberts has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Roberts scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They blew past Fromberg 67-43. That looming 67-43 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Roberts yet this season.
Meanwhile, Reed Point/Rapelje's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight loss. They fell 37-27 to Absarokee. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Reed Point/Rapelje has scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Landen Bryant, who scored eight points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Marshall Ulmer, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Reed Point/Rapelje struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Roberts' victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Reed Point/Rapelje, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-7.
Roberts strolled past Reed Point/Rapelje in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a score of 58-43. Does Roberts have another victory up their sleeve, or will Reed Point/Rapelje turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
