Gilbert Christian high school football team defeats Arizona Charter Academy after jumping out to early lead.

SURPRISE, Ariz. -
Gilbert Christian (Gilbert, Ariz.) took an early lead against Arizona Charter Academy (Surprise, Ariz.) and held on for a 58-14 victory on Saturday.
In the first quarter, the Knights put up 16 points. Gilbert Christian scored on a touchdown pass by
Bailey Anderson and a touchdown pass by Anderson to
Saile Daimwood.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Anderson in the first quarter, GC was up 36-0 at the half.
The Gilbert school expanded its lead to 42 points entering the fourth quarter. The Knights scored three times in the third, including once on a
Andrew Sherman touchdown run.
Arizona Charter Academy (0-1) goes up against Mayer in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Gilbert Christian (2-0) locks horns with Superior also in a non-conference game.
