The East Dragons pushed their score all the way to 59 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 66-59 loss to John F. Kennedy.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead John F. Kennedy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Damairus Logan, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Damarion Logan, who scored 14 points.
East bumped their record down to 3-4 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for John F. Kennedy, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East will take on North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for John F. Kennedy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against John Adams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
