Meanwhile, South Johnston hadn't done well against Southern Wayne recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. South Johnston blew past Southern Wayne 3-0. The win was some much needed relief for South Johnston as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Hunt's victory bumped their record up to 6-2-2. As for South Johnston, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-6.
