Baseball Recap: East Rowan Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

East Rowan had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Lake Norman Charter Knights. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-6 back in March.

Brady Ailshie looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Krys Hernandez and Hunter Goodman did most of the damage at the plate: Hernandez went 2-for-3 with three runs, while Goodman went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Goodman has posted since back in March. Harrison Ailshie was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

East Rowan's record is now 18-4. As for Lake Norman Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

Looking ahead, East Rowan will head out to challenge West Rowan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 3.9, the Falcons 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Lake Norman Charter, they will challenge Pro Stock Royals Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Royals will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
