While Gustine didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Avalon Eagles 58-18. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.

Gustine is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.5 points. As for Avalon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gustine will be home for the holidays to greet Cranfills Gap at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions' defense has only allowed 29.9 points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Avalon, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Blum at 6:00 p.m.
