6A District 1 recap November 13, 2013
Washington moved up to 353 from 382 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 6A District 1. The Wildcats climbed the ranks as a result of losing to West Florida 37-13.
Washington fell to the Jaguars 37-13 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Craig Laborde's team's Branden Dirden and Jadon Jones have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Dirden has thrown for 740 yards this season, while Jones, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 24 catches for 423 yards. Pace's Quaide Weimerskirch leads the league in rushing yards with 2,163.
The Wildcats made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,214 from 8,061. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 37-13 victory over Washington last week.
