The Beekman Charter Tigers will square off against the Summerfield Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Beekman Charter took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They put the hurt on Delhi with a sharp 18-1 victory. Considering the Tigers have won four contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Kyla Battle was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Battle was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Abbigale Brown was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That double was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Boies, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Beekman Charter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .960. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Summerfield ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past Simsboro 13-12. The win was nothing new for the Rebels as they're now sitting on six straight dating back to last season.
Summerfield's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Beekman Charter, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Everything went Beekman Charter's way against Summerfield in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, as Beekman Charter made off with a 21-5 victory. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rebels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
