Liberty is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Hillcrest a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Liberty Bison will welcome the Hillcrest Trojans at 5:30 p.m. The last three games Liberty has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
On Wednesday, Liberty didn't have quite enough to beat Poly and fell 3-2. While the Bison didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bears 25-19 in the first set.
Liberty started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 23-25, 28-26, 25-17, 15-8.

Despite the loss, Liberty had strong showings from Cadence Drumm, who had 18 digs and one block, and Mia Chiu, who had 29 digs and one assist. Chiu is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 18 or more in each of the last four games she's played.
Meanwhile, Hillcrest came up short against Poly on Friday, falling 3-0.
Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
Liberty came out on top in a nail-biter against Hillcrest when the teams last played on September 12th, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Bison repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
