Sudan took down Smyer 42-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Hornets led 1A-2 Region I District 3 in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on the Bobcats.
Springlake-Earth's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. John Yannis threw for 103 yards and Nathan Garcia had 43 yards receiving. On the ground Garcia chipped in 40 yards. Elijah Ramon helped Springlake-Earth's passing attack out by catching two balls for 26 yards.
Springlake-Earth's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wolverines feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Yannis has thrown for 719 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Will Green has 10 catches for 264 yards. Garcia leads the league in rushing with 449 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Morton takes on the Wolverines. As it stands, the Indians are in fourth, while Springlake-Earth is in first.
There should be lots of points scored when Morton and Stan Caffey's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Jimmy Tercero's team comes in having scored 21 this season, while the Wolverines have scored 181. The Indians scored 42 points last week as they defeated Plains.
Farwell made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,163 from 6,408. The improvement was the result of 27-13 victory over Seagraves last week.
