Palestine has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Bullard Panthers at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, in a tight match that could have gone either way, Palestine made off with a 34-33 win over Hudson.
Meanwhile, Bullard strolled past Rusk with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 57-42. Given Bullard's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while Rusk is ranked 778th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Palestine's win bumped their record up to 8-19. As for Bullard, they pushed their record up to 19-8 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Palestine opened the new year with a less-than-successful 51-41 loss to Bullard. Can Palestine avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
