The Jasper Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They put the hurt on Golden City with a sharp 70-49 victory. Jasper might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jamison Menadue, who scored 18 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for him. Spencer Parrill was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Golden City were working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Jasper is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Golden City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
