The Tongue River Eagles waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with 15 straight wins but they left with 16. They took down Sundance 48-29. This was payback for Tongue River, who suffered a 68-63 loss the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Sundance had strong showings from Jaylin Mills, who scored 16 points along with three steals, and Lexie Marchant, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Sundance struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Tongue River pushed their record up to 16-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Sundance, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.
