The Torrington Trailblazers will head out on the road to challenge the Bridgeport Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Torrington has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while the Bulldogs will arrive with eight straight victories.
Torrington struggled with assists last Friday (the Outlaws had 11 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Torrington received a tough blow as they fell 68-53 to the Outlaws.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Mac Hibben, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Landre Greiman, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, even though Mitchell scored an imposing 62 points on Saturday, Bridgeport still came out on top. Bridgeport snuck past the Tigers with a 68-62 win.
Torrington's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Bridgeport, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.
Torrington came up short against the Bulldogs in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 59-53. Can Torrington avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
