The Alamo Heights Mules scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Jefferson 73-30 at home. The victory was nothing new for Alamo Heights as they're now sitting on four straight.
Leading Alamo Heights to victory were Talaiyah Andrews and Sophia Zadel. Andrews dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds, while Zadel dropped a double-double on 28 points and 17 rebounds. The match was Andrews' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Berkley Hart, who scored 12 points along with five assists.
Alamo Heights is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Jefferson, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.
Alamo Heights will head out on the road to face off against Lanier at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lanier will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1235th, while Alamo Heights is ranked 201st). Jefferson will be home for the holidays to greet Highlands at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Highlands is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
