Bertha-Hewitt hadn't done well against Verndale recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bertha-Hewitt Bears claimed a resounding 65-30 victory over the Verndale Pirates. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Bertha-Hewitt's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points over those games. As for Verndale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season.
