The Antioch Bears lost against the Hillsboro Burros last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Antioch was outmatched by Hillsboro at home and fell 54-27. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Antioch in their matchups with Hillsboro: they've now lost six in a row.
Hillsboro's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Raigan Wiggins, who scored 15 points. It was the first time this season that Wiggins scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Shinae Johnson, who scored 13 points.
Antioch's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.3 points per game. As for Hillsboro, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-4.
Antioch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hillsboro, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-37 victory vs. McGavock on the 9th.
