Everything went their way against the Lake Norman Charter Knights on Friday as the Central Cabarrus Vikings made off with a 16-4 win. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won seven in a row.
Taryn Jenkins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Central Cabarrus let Haley Rezy and Chloe Phillips run wild.
