Notre Dame Academy has gone a perfect 10-0 against Sheboygan North recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Tritons are taking a road trip to face off against the Golden Raiders at 11:00 a.m. Notre Dame Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
Notre Dame Academy not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 10th (when they won 13-1). They never let Sheboygan South get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Tritons in their matchups with the Redwings: they've now won four in a row.
Brennen Frelich made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Frelich was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Cam Michiels looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Tyler Siudzinski was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Kyan Redling also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, Sheboygan North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to De Pere.
Sheboygan North saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alonzo Pena, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Sheboygan North's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Notre Dame Academy, their record is now 11-6.
Sheboygan North's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Notre Dame Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .450. It's a different story for Sheboygan North, though, as they've only averaged .331. Will they be able to contain Notre Dame Academy's hitters?
Notre Dame Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Sheboygan North when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 6-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tritons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
