The Cleveland Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Southeastern Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southeastern took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Cleveland, who comes in off a win.
The home team had come away the winner the last three times Cleveland and Holly Pond had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Panthers blew past the Broncos 13-2 on Monday. That 11-run margin sets a new team best for the Panthers this season.
Grayson Beavers made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Rylan Lawrence and Cohen Dawson did most of the damage at the plate: Lawrence got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple, while Dawson went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and four runs. Those four runs gave Dawson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tanner Shelton, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Cleveland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Southeastern had taken Cold Springs down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Mustangs lost 21-12 to the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mustangs have suffered against the Eagles since March 26, 2016.
Cleveland's record now sits at 6-12. As for Southeastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
Cleveland came out on top in a nail-biter against Southeastern when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 13-12. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
