Fountain Central won the last time they faced Attica, and Ayden Batchlor did his part to make sure it happened again. The Fountain Central Mustangs put the hurt on the Attica Red Ramblers with a sharp 67-41 victory on Tuesday thanks to Batchlor, who went 7-for-12 from beyond the arc on his way to 21 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Dodson, who posted seven points and five boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played.

Despite the loss, Attica saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Caiden Ashley went 6-for-11 en route to 18 points. Kingston Monhollen also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Fountain Central's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-13. As for Attica, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

Fountain Central has already played their next match, a 78-27 loss against Parke Heritage on the 14th. As for Attica, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-53 defeat against South Vermillion on the 14th.
