Aquinas is 10-0 against Tomah since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Aquinas Blugolds will head out on the road to square off against the Tomah Timberwolves at 7:15 p.m. Aquinas is looking to tack on another W to their 13-game streak on the road.
Last Saturday, Aquinas was able to grind out a solid win over Bangor, taking the game 48-38.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Aquinas to victory, but perhaps none more so than Samantha Davis, who scored 15 points. Davis is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last 14 games she's played. Madeline Murphy was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Tomah's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by Onalaska on the road and fell 64-32. While losing is never fun, Tomah can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 366th, while Onalaska is ranked 105th).
Aquinas' victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Tomah, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.
Everything came up roses for Aquinas against Tomah when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 52-25 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Aquinas since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
