The Lompoc Braves will head out on the road to square off against the Arroyo Grande Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lompoc's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Arroyo Grande's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Lompoc not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 7th. They put the hurt on Taft with a sharp 10-0 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Braves as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Lily Drysol made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Teagan Thompson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rianna Stouppe, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Lompoc hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Taft struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, Arroyo Grande was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of Bullard. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by just one run.
Ella Stennett (2025) was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Ariana Olivas (2028) also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Arroyo Grande's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Lompoc, their record is now 11-7.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Lompoc hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Arroyo Grande struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Lompoc was able to grind out a solid win over Arroyo Grande when the teams last played back in March, winning 6-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Braves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
