Basketball Recap: Milton Skates Past Florida Coastal Prep with Ease

Milton was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Florida Coastal Prep on Thursday. The Milton Panthers blew past the Florida Coastal Prep Spartans, posting a 61-28 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Milton to victory were Sergio Robinson and Treymar Jones. Robinson went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points and five steals, while Jones went 5 for 10 en route to 17 points and five steals. Jones' evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. David Aboya was another key player, putting up eight points and six boards.

Milton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Milton's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.4 points per game. As for Florida Coastal Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
