Team Stats ran for four touchdowns to lift
South View (Hope Mills, N.C.) to a 35-13 beat over
Cape Fear (Fayetteville, N.C.).
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Xavier Robinson in the second quarter, the Tigers led 14-7 at the half.
South View grew its lead to eight points entering the fourth quarter. SV scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by
Jeremy Cox.
The Hope Mills school locked in the win by scoring 14 points in the fourth quarter to push the final margin to 22.
Coming into the game the Tigers had allowed 19.6 points per game this year. South View held firm on the defensive front, and kept the Colts below the 17.4 points it had been averaging per game.
SV avenged last year's 34-28 loss to Cape Fear with the victory.
The win was a nice bounce back for the Hope Mills school, which lost to Jack Britt last week, 34-20.
