It was a good run, but the Queen Anne's County Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against Wicomico, falling 81-41. Queen Anne's County was down 67-33 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wicomico to victory, but perhaps none more so than Se'Lah Foreman, who scored 21 points along with six steals and five assists. Foreman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 14 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabrielle Corbin, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds.
Queen Anne's County's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-2. As for Wicomico, their win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Queen Anne's County will take on North Caroline at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Wicomico, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Washington at 5:00 a.m.
