Cotopaxi will take on Edison at home at 1:00 PM on Saturday. Cotopaxi strut in flaunting some offensive muscle with an average of 33.25 points per game.
Cotopaxi entered their matchup against Prairie last Friday without any home losses -- but there's a first time for everything. Cotopaxi have to be aching after a bruising 30-60 defeat to Prairie. On a positive note, senior Steven Tunstall put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 102 yards and 2 touchdowns. Tunstall has been a consistent playmaker for Cotopaxi as this was the 3rd good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Edison, but their most recent match may have softened the blow. They were the clear victor by a 69-36 margin over Colorado School for the Deaf Blind. Edison were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Edison's win lifted them to 4-3 while Cotopaxi's loss dropped them down to 6-2. We'll find out if Edison can add another positive mark to their record or if Cotopaxi can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Edison's step.
