Champaign Central's defeat came about despite a quality game from Aidyn Beck, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Bush, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Decatur Eisenhower lost to Kankakee on the road by a decisive 70-52 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, Decatur Eisenhower can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 415th, while Kankakee is ranked 15th).
Champaign Central's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-6. As for Decatur Eisenhower, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
