Cameron came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Cumberland Beavers. The Comets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by ten runs or more this season.

Rayna Schroeder was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Carlisle, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Cameron pushed their record up to 14-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Cumberland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Cameron is set to square off against their familiar foe Hayward at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cumberland will challenge rival Ladysmith at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
