 Sydney Elizondo had a dynamite game for Lennard, throwing for 228 yards and six touchdowns.
 Lennard didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Miranda Diaz,  Layla Crawford,  and  Jordyn Colvenbach picked up one apiece.
 Meanwhile, Newsome earned  a  26-13 win over Wharton  on Saturday. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Wolves.
 Lennard's victory was  their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 2-0. As for Newsome, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
 Lennard strolled past Newsome in their previous meeting  back in May of 2024 by a score of  14-0. Will Lennard repeat their success,  or does  Newsome have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
