The Toombs County Bulldogs had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Twiggs County 54-17 on the road. The win was just what Toombs County needed coming off of a 62-30 loss in their prior game.
Toombs County's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12. As for Twiggs County, they dropped their record down to 1-19 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Toombs County and Appling County will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Appling County and Toombs County are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Twiggs County, they will be playing at home against Wilkinson County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
