Meanwhile, Tri-County North had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Dunbar 69-17 at home on Saturday. The win was just what Tri-County North needed coming off of a 72-33 defeat in their prior game.
Tri-County North relied on the efforts of Bella Cherry, who scored 22 points along with two steals, and Hannah Webster, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 19 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cherry has scored all season. Rylie Myers was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds.
Brookville's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Tri-County North, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Brookville came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers when the teams last played back in January of 2023, sneaking past 45-42. Does Brookville have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
